| We had a wonderful time celebrating "A Day of the Arts"! Students enjoyed apple cider, cheese platters, and meats while walking around and seeing various displays of work. There were science fair projects, student poetry and portraits, artwork, and raffles. | ¡Pasamos un tiempo maravilloso celebrando "Un Día de las Artes"! Los estudiantes disfrutaron de sidra de manzana, platos de queso y carnes mientras caminaban y veían varias exhibiciones de trabajo. Hubo proyectos de la feria de ciencias, poesía y retratos estudiantiles, obras de arte y rifas. |
| PS 46 is excited to launch our new "Go Green" initiative in which students are encouraged to recycle all uncontaminated paper by placing them in our specially designated green bins. We hope to continue expanding our recycling program, and look forward to motivating students to keep our Earth clean! | As part of the District 13, PS 46 partook in the Elevating Voices initiative that provides students with access to culturally responsive texts that focuses on equity and affirming student identity. Our 1st Grade Team worked in collaboration with Ms. Coombs to have students draw self-portraits, and then have students write poetry about themselves. Check out their work here! | Como parte del Distrito 13, PS 46 participó en la iniciativa Elevating Voices que brinda a los estudiantes acceso a textos culturalmente sensibles que se enfocan en la equidad y la afirmación de la identidad de los estudiantes. Nuestro equipo de primer grado trabajó en colaboración con la Sra. PS 46 and Fort Greene Prep had an amazing turnout to our Block Party this past Saturday. Students were able to see shows, play in bouncy castles, get snacks, and play fun games! We look forward to having additional celebrations with the Fort Greene community!
Now that the daffodils we planted are finally blooming, our 3K and Pre-K, along with their parents, helped paint tires to beautify our front lawn. We enjoyed visitors from the City Council, the Parks Department, and other local officials. A big thank you to our staff and parent volunteers that helped organize this event.
